Having achieved our ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certificate in early 2015 we have been working towards the ISO 14001 certification for a few months now we are delighted to have been audited by UKAS and achieved the 14001 certification in January 2016.

ISO 14001 Certification means that we have implemented an environmental management system to continually improve our efficiency, reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment.

We can offer a higher standard of service whilst meeting tougher environmental standards imposed by the ISO scheme. The ISO Website says:

It helps organisations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, gaining a competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders.”

Jim Stevenson , Walkerweld MD, said:

  • Increase leadership involvement and helps engage our employees
  • Improve the confidence our customers have in our environmental & quality performance
  • Incorporate environmental aims into our everyday business management
  • Be more financially competitive by reducing costs and being more efficient
